The two-rotor helicopter suddenly plummeted amid the panic of the followers Viewers pleaded for help and called emergency services

China witnessed a tragic accident following the death of Chinese influencer Tang Feiji, aged 55, after his light helicopter crashed during a live broadcast in front of hundreds of followers.

The incident occurred on Saturday in Jiang Province, central China, when the two-rotor helicopter suddenly plummeted. Live comments on the stream showed the panic of viewers who urged for help and called emergency services, but Tang died at the scene due to the impact and the fire that followed the crash.

Reports indicated that Tang was not wearing a helmet or parachute, and his account was later set to "private," making it accessible only to his existing followers.

Chinese authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident, especially since Tang had survived two previous helicopter crashes. It is noted that he had purchased the helicopter last year for approximately £36,500 and claimed at the time that a pilot’s license was not necessary for light aircraft—a claim aviation experts dispute, emphasizing the importance of licensing and registration.

This incident comes amid a series of global aviation tragedies. A 54-year-old Australian pilot died in a plane crash while leading a skydiving jump in New South Wales, and four people, including an architect and a film director, were killed in a light aircraft explosion in Brazil’s Pantanal region.
