"Rania Mahmoud Yassin: "I felt betrayed by people I stood by

The Egyptian actress Rania Mahmoud Yassin has strongly rejected recent reports claiming that she has permanently retired from acting, emphasizing that these rumors are completely unfounded. She admitted that she hesitated before clarifying the truth, especially given the spread of such news among directors and producers.
Rania wrote on her Facebook page: "The story circulating among directors and producers that I have stopped acting… I categorically deny this. The truth is, I only refuse roles that are unsuitable for me or for my career, as well as those that might harm my late father’s significant legacy."
"Enough injustice"
Addressing her recent lower visibility in the industry, she explained: "I didn’t write this post to complain about the lack of offers, but to clarify that some people are giving directors and producers a false impression that I don’t want to work, which is completely untrue." She also shared recent photos of herself, saying: "This is how I looked a few days ago, without filters or makeup… enough of the injustice against me."
Rania Mahmoud Yassin also spoke about facing betrayal and challenges from people close to her: "I felt betrayed by people I stood by and my father supported. They go on shows talking about how much Mahmoud Yassin helped them. They know I’m a talented actress, and they should have come to me first when they did anything, but in the end, it’s just talk."
Latest Work
Her most recent project was the series “Inhiraf” (Deviation), which aired during Ramadan 2022. It starred Rogina, Ahmed Safwat, Lucy, Sumiha Ayoub, Ahmed Fouad Selim, and Mohamed Lotfy. Written by Mostafa Shaheeb and directed by Raouf Abdel Aziz, the series is inspired by true events and unfolds as a suspenseful drama about the moral deviations of certain characters, and the efforts of a psychologist to correct their paths in her own unique way.
