PEOPLE magazine announced that Australian star Nicole Kidman has separated from her husband, singer Keith Urban, after 19 years of marriage, confirming the official end of their relationship.

Kidman and Urban first met in 2005 and married in June 2006 in a ceremony held in Sydney. They have two daughters, Sunday Rose (17) and Faith Margaret (14). Kidman also has a daughter, Isabella, and a son, Connor, from her previous marriage to actor Tom Cruise.

Strong Family Support

Sources close to Kidman told PEOPLE that the star did not want to end the marriage and made great efforts to preserve the relationship, noting that her sister Antonia and her family were a major source of support during this difficult emotional period.

Just a few months ago, Kidman celebrated her 19th wedding anniversary with Urban with a black-and-white photo she posted on Instagram, captioned: “Happy anniversary, my love.” She had also previously told the magazine in December 2024 about her love for the surprises and late-night dates Urban would arrange for her.

Challenges for the Couple

The couple has faced several challenges recently, including a burglary at their Beverly Hills home on Valentine’s Day, during which the house was ransacked while they were away. Urban also made headlines in July after abruptly ending a radio interview when asked about his wife’s romantic scenes in films.

While Kidman was busy filming her new movie Practical Magic 2 in London, Urban continued his music tour, with a concert scheduled for October 2 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
