A sarcastic post by artist Mohamed Atieh on his personal Facebook account sparked widespread reactions after commenting on statements made by Mai Kamal El-Din, the ex-wife of actor Ahmed Mekky, regarding details of their past relationship.

In his post, Atieh jokingly asked: “Who is Mekky’s ex-fighting with all by herself with these statements? Mekky doesn’t respond, no one responds… this is very strange. Who are you holding in this fight?”

Mai Kamal El-Din Responds Mai Kamal El-Din reacted by sharing Atieh’s post on her account, expressing her displeasure and questioning his involvement in her personal matters. She also shared a message he sent her via Messenger, which read: “Good morning… First, I made a joke post, and if it upset you, I’m very sorry about it… I can delete it if it makes you feel better. I usually joke about everything, but it’s important to me not to hurt anyone… I’m sorry again if the post bothered you.”

However, Mai did not take it lightly, replying: “Why are you joking with me, you know me,” before shifting to a stern and legal tone: “Stop exploiting situations and let’s be a bit more respectful… I do not accept an apology… Anyone who harms me or links my name to anyone will face legal action.”

“I Stayed Silent” In earlier statements, Mai Kamal El-Din emphasized that she had remained silent for a long time out of respect for the close relationship she had with Ahmed Mekky’s late mother. She clarified that she never intended to stir controversy and that her aim was to clarify the circumstances and protect her personal reputation after some private photos and messages were leaked.
