Egyptian actress Rojina announced that the Ramadan 2026 drama season will bring major surprises for the audience, highlighting that one of the most notable is her daughter, Maya Ashraf Zaki, supervising the series’ direction.

Rojina stated in an interview on a TV program that the new series is titled “Happy Surprises”, emphasizing that it will offer a unique experience on multiple levels.

She explained that her daughter Maya is currently directing an important film called “Bitter Grapes”, produced by Walid Sabri, describing its story as very powerful. Rojina added, “I persuaded her to work on my series, so she filmed a week of her movie, then moved to shoot my series, and later returned to complete her film.”

Consistent Ramadan Presence This announcement comes after Rojina’s continued presence in Ramadan dramas over the past six years, with notable works including “El Prince”, “Bint El Sultan”, “Setem”, “Sir Ilahi”, and “Hisabet Omri”.
