Abdullah Boushahri Undergoes Major Surgery

Kuwaiti actor Abdullah Boushahri announced that he underwent a delicate surgical operation due to the sensitive location of a hernia in his body. The surgery lasted four hours instead of the usual 40 minutes, highlighting the complexity of his medical condition.
His fellow actor and compatriot, Tareq Al-Ali, visited him in the hospital and shared photos of them together on his X account, commenting: "Wishing our brother, actor Abdullah Boushahri, a full recovery and wellness. May God grant you a speedy healing."
Boushahri also shared images of himself in bed, expressing his gratitude to the medical team and his fans: "Praise be to God for His grace and mercy. I underwent the surgery and it was successful thanks to God. I thank everyone who visited, called, or inquired about me. Your presence and prayers had a great impact on me." He added: "Thanks to Dr. Khalid Al-Anzi, Dr. Shehab Akrof, Dr. Ali Dashti, and Dr. Durrar Al-Shihab… may God reward you."
The surgery addressed a rare and complex condition known as a "paraesophageal hernia," where the stomach rises through the diaphragm, approaching the heart, requiring high precision during the procedure.
On the artistic front, Abdullah Boushahri is expected to participate in the upcoming Ramadan season with a dramatic series written by Fahad Al-Aliwa. His latest work, "Kan Insan," sparked widespread controversy due to scenes deemed contrary to Kuwaiti traditions, leading to the referral of the production team to the public prosecution, the closure of the production company’s office, and potential sanctions on some actors.
The series, conceptualized by Ali Kakoli, written by Fatima Al-Amir, and directed by Ali Al-Ali, stars Jassim Al-Nabhan, Noor Al-Dulaimi, Ali Kakoli, Taif, and Mishari Al-Majeeb. The plot follows a peaceful young man whose life turns into a quest for revenge after a sudden incident, intertwined with social class conflicts and a love story that transcends customs and societal divisions.
