Release of Maram Al-Balushi After Being Detained for Investigation Maram Al-Balushi: "God is Sufficient for Me, and He is the Best Disposer of Affairs"

Kuwaiti actress Maram Al-Balushi commented in a video posted on her social media accounts following her release, after being detained pending investigation in a case involving the possession of prohibited substances in a public place.

In her remarks on Snapchat, Maram began with the phrase "God is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs," emphasizing that her release was thanks to the efforts of her lawyer, Bushra Al-Shammari, and stressing that she is "wronged."

Legal Actions

She also stated that she will seek to reveal the truth and take legal action against anyone who harms her or spreads rumors about her, calling for respect for her privacy and urging against defamation.

Earlier, videos of Al-Balushi circulated showing her in a highly confused state, wearing a dress resembling a shirt, interacting with a map on the wall, amid hints of the influence of prohibited substances, which sparked widespread public debate.

Detention of Maram Al-Balushi

According to Kuwaiti media, Al-Balushi was detained in the Hawalli area and referred to the central prison pending investigation for 21 days. Medical tests revealed traces of prohibited substances in her blood.

It is worth noting that Maram Al-Balushi announced last month that she had remarried after separating from her former husband, Hussein Al-Saleh, following a 21-year marriage that resulted in three children: Janan, Jumana, and Ali. She stated at the time: "Sometimes divorce is a solution and relief for both parties and a new beginning. Today, each of us is on our own path."
