Yasmin Nasser responds to the Hebrew media: "My recipes are an ongoing approach for Gaza" – Video

Chef Yasmin Nasser, who has won the admiration of millions with her innovative recipes showcased on Roya TV, emphasized that her cooking is not merely about food, but serves as a tool for awareness and intellectual awakening, as recognized by many of her followers.
Speaking on Roya TV, she explained that the videos she shares aim to provide practical and simple solutions for preparing food during the crisis, adding: “The recipes will continue as a method, not just an initiative, as long as the catastrophe persists in the Gaza Strip.”
“A pursuit to forge a false history” With determination and steadfastness, Nasser asserted that the occupation works on all fronts in an attempt to control every aspect of Palestinian life, including their simple recipes meant to support Gaza’s residents. She clarified that there are ongoing attempts to steal her recipes and claim them as their own, in an effort to fabricate a false history that does not belong to them. Yet, she insists on continuing to share authentic Palestinian recipes as a symbol of identity and resistance, no matter how much the occupation tries to erase their legacy.
Limited ingredients, creative recipes Nasser’s videos demonstrate how to prepare dishes using limited ingredients, such as “coffee made from chickpeas” and “vegetables from cactus leaves,” offering a glimmer of hope to residents facing worsening famine. These videos have spread widely, amid Israeli attempts to distort their content and claim it as their own, in an effort to rewrite history.
The Hebrew website “Ynet” accused Nasser of “fueling claims of famine in Gaza” and using food as a political tool, ignoring the fact that the food crisis is widely documented by the United Nations and human rights organizations.
This targeting is part of a broader effort to delegitimize voices highlighting the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, at a time when the occupation continues to impose the blockade and use starvation as a weapon of war, while Palestinians like Nasser strive to provide practical and tangible hope through the simplest tools of daily life.
