Jimmy Kimmel show suspension sparks outrage and solidarity among Hollywood stars

Political and Industry Reactions President Donald Trump quickly welcomed ABC’s decision, calling the show’s suspension "great news for America."
Within the entertainment and media circles, the decision sparked widespread debate. Comedian Wanda Sykes expressed her surprise via an Instagram video, while actor Ben Stiller voiced support for Kimmel, emphasizing the importance of protecting freedom of speech regardless of political stance, writing on X: "This is not right."
Hollywood Stars Show Support Kathy Griffin posted a statement on Instagram urging support for Kimmel, saying, "It’s very important to stand by him now. Speak honestly and be ideologically aware; money is all that matters to their power."
Actress Jean Smart shared a photo with Kimmel on Instagram, commenting, "I am horrified by the cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel Live. What he said was freedom of speech, not hate speech. His being shot shocked me, and it should shock any decent person. What is happening to our country?"
