Elton John undergoes knee surgery and turns them into jewelry Elton John: "The hole in my knee looked like an ancient Egyptian artifact"

In shocking statements that sparked widespread reactions among his followers, British pop star Elton John revealed the reason he transformed his knees into pieces of jewelry after having them surgically removed.

In his new short documentary “A Touch of Gold”, Elton said, “When I underwent surgery to remove my left knee first and then the right, I asked my surgeon if I could keep them, which surprised him.”

"The hole looked like an artifact" The 78-year-old singer added, “My surgeon told me that the knee surgeries were the worst I’ve ever undergone, and the hole in my knee looked like an ancient Egyptian artifact.”

Elton enlisted designer Theo Fenell to turn his knees into art pieces. Fenell "baked" the knees to dry them, making them suitable for transformation into jewelry.

Elton confirmed that the pieces are designed to endure over time, saying, “I truly believe these two pieces are eternal and will last for centuries.”

“I’m still here” Elton has spoken candidly about his multiple health challenges in recent years, stating at last year’s New York Film Festival: “I don’t have tonsils, no adenoids, no appendix, no prostate, no right hip, no left knee, no right knee. In fact, all I have left is my left hip. But I’m still here.”
