Hala Sedki Files Complaint Accusing Former Maid of Defamation and Blackmail Omrania Misdemeanor Court Grants Hala Sedki Final Extension for Verdict Announcement

The Omrania Misdemeanor Court granted Egyptian actress Hala Sedki a final extension on Wednesday, postponing the verdict in the case filed against her former maid, Hosniya Abdel Nabi, with the judgment now scheduled for September 24.

Hala Sedki had filed a complaint with the South Giza Public Prosecution accusing her former maid of insults, defamation, and blackmail, after attempting to pressure her to return to work while threatening to post offensive content on social media.

Documenting the Insults and Blackmail Sedki’s lawyer submitted documents and a flash drive containing recordings that document the insults, defamation, and blackmail, and also requested the testimony of witnesses cited by Hala Sedki in the case.

The prosecution listened to the witnesses’ statements and examined the submitted video clips, confirming their authenticity and that they contained offensive and defamatory language directed at Hala Sedki, strengthening her legal position in the case.
