Aiten Amer comments for the first time on her sister Wafaa’s crisis

Egyptian actress Aiten Amer affirmed her full confidence in the innocence of her sister, actress Wafaa Amer, following allegations against her regarding human organ trafficking. She emphasized that she ignores all these rumors and continues her work normally, awaiting the truth to emerge.
In her first comment on her sister’s ongoing crisis, Aiten told reporters: “The case is still in court and hasn’t ended yet, but I am very confident in Wafaa and her innocence, and God willing, everyone who loves her will see that.”
She added: “I have complete confidence in my sister, and I know what she does and doesn’t do.” She noted that Wafaa is trying to move past what she has gone through recently and dedicates her time to work, saying candidly: “Nothing affects her at all because she is confident in herself and knows that the truth will be revealed publicly one day.”
Appeal of the “Bint Mubarak” Case
The crisis surrounding Wafaa Amer began after accusations by Marwa Yousry, known on social media as “Bint Mubarak”, who claimed that the Egyptian actress and several other public figures were involved in human organ trafficking, in addition to asserting that she is the daughter of the late Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
The Alexandria Economic Court of Appeals set September 28 for the hearing of Marwa Yousry’s appeal after she was sentenced to two years in prison with labor and a fine of 100,000 EGP, on charges of slander, defamation, deliberate harassment, and creating an electronic account to commit a crime.
In her first comment after the ruling, Wafaa Amer expressed great relief, thanking the Egyptian judiciary, which she described as “lofty and great.” She emphasized that she would not tolerate any attempts to tarnish her reputation, noting that she had been subjected to a systematic and unjust campaign of false accusations.
Wafaa Amer also explained that she had assisted the late athlete Ibrahim Shika purely out of humanitarian concern due to his difficult health conditions and his battle with cancer. She clarified that he came to her home seeking help after he could not afford his treatment, and she responded to him after witnessing his suffering and challenging living conditions.
