Egyptian actress Malak Ahmed Zahir revealed that she experienced a psychological crisis during her participation in the series “A Crisis of Trust”, confirming that she is currently undergoing therapy sessions to cope with the pressures of her demanding role.

Malak Zahir stated on a TV program: "I was very anxious before filming started because the character I play suffers from identity disorder, which is a highly complex psychological condition, and it was a very challenging role for me."

She added that her co-star Naglaa Badr closely monitored her condition and frequently asked how she was preparing for the role. Malak explained that she had to consult a psychologist during the preparation stage and continued therapy sessions during and after filming to manage the deep psychological impact of the character and her internal conflicts.

“The Most Difficult Scenes”

She continued: "The character transformed into three different personalities, each with its own features and details. One of the most difficult scenes was performing dialogues between these personalities without relying on another actor’s performance, but solely from within myself."

Malak did not hide her happiness at her father, Ahmed Zahir’s, reaction, who expressed pride in her performance, describing the role as a significant milestone in her artistic journey and the beginning of a broader space for future challenges.

The series “A Crisis of Trust” is a short-format show consisting of 15 episodes. Its storyline combines suspense and intrigue, beginning with a murder that turns the family’s life upside down.

As events escalate, the characters confront a past full of disputes over money and inheritance, threatening to fracture family bonds under the weight of doubt and lack of trust.
