Rana Samaha: "Once, a married man proposed to another woman" Samer Abu Taleb announces his engagement to a woman outside the artistic community

Egyptian singer Rana Samaha sparked widespread controversy after posting a veiled message on her personal Facebook account directed at her ex-husband, composer Samer Abu Taleb, before deleting the post following a wave of comments and interpretations from the public.

Rana’s comment came after her ex-husband, Samer Abu Taleb, announced his engagement to a woman named Heba Zakaria, who is not part of the artistic community, just eight months after their separation.

Samer Abu Taleb’s Engagement Abu Taleb officially announced his engagement on his Instagram account, posting a photo with his fiancée and writing: "I love Heba Zakaria." He also reposted a previous video of her featuring one of his songs, adding: "You are my love."

Rana Samaha had announced her separation from Samer Abu Taleb last January, after a marriage that lasted about five years, beginning in 2020. During her appearance on the show Oudat Delma, she revealed that the divorce decision came after "repeated accumulations" since the first year of marriage, confirming that she had waived all her financial rights in exchange for the divorce, keeping only her child’s rights.

Rana also stated that she never considered returning to her ex-husband, noting that reconciliation attempts had failed, in addition to disputes over child visitation rights that ultimately reached the courts.
