The village of Batia in northwestern rural Idlib was shaken by a horrific crime, in which a man reportedly took the lives of his wife and three of his children inside their home before ending his own life, according to Syrian media sources.

Shockingly, only one child managed to escape, fleeing the house and witnessing the tragic event firsthand.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed that the crime occurred under severe psychological pressures experienced by the father, which drove him to commit this tragedy, leaving the village residents in deep shock.
