The Hadrami Orchestra" Celebrates a Global Music Night at Jeddah Season"

As part of the Jeddah Season events, the Hadrami Orchestra held a globally inspired concert organized by Benchmark Company, bringing together over seventy artists—including musicians and a choir—on a single stage under the baton of Maestro Mohammed Al-Qahoum.
The concert opened with the piece Bo Saqr, setting a magical atmosphere of rhythm and melody, followed by compositions that blended Hadrami heritage with new arrangements by Al-Qahoum. Fifty-four musicians harmonized with twenty choir members in a musical tableau featuring talents from Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Russia, the UK, and several other countries.
Clear Interaction and a Fresh Spirit
Singer Fouad Abdulwahed performed a selection of songs including Ghadar Al-Layl and Khanjar Yamani, while the audience’s engagement with the orchestra was evident. Moments of interaction repeated whenever Al-Qahoum raised his baton to direct the rhythm, turning some pieces into a dialogue between the performers and the audience.
At the press conference held before the concert, Maestro Mohammed Al-Qahoum expressed his delight at meeting the Jeddah audience, explaining that this was the orchestra’s second stop after Riyadh, and emphasizing that the program would present familiar pieces with a fresh spirit.
The concert concluded amid enthusiastic applause from the audience, who celebrated this exceptional musical experience that showcased Hadrami heritage in a distinctive and inspiring way.
