Gas leak in a Tafila home causes the death of a woman

On Thursday, the Tafila Governorate witnessed a tragic incident following a horrifying accident caused by a gas leak inside a home in the Al-Buqai’ area.

The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated in a statement received by "Roya TV" that specialized teams from the Tafila Civil Defense Directorate and the police responded quickly to a report of a gas leak from a domestic gas cylinder inside a closed room – the kitchen. As the room filled with gas, a powerful explosion occurred, resulting in the death of a woman and the injury of another person with burns across his body, in a heartbreaking scene.

Investigation Opened Emergency teams immediately provided first aid to the injured person and transported him to Tafila Governmental Hospital for treatment, while authorities launched an investigation to determine the causes of the accident.

The incident left a significant psychological impact on the community, as neighbors and local residents expressed fear and sorrow for the affected family, emphasizing the importance of adhering to safety procedures at home.
