Sherine Abdel-Wahab Tops Searches Following Her Lawyer’s Statement and the “Hossam Habib Return” Stir

Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel-Wahab has dominated search engines in recent hours after her lawyer, Yasser Qantoush, issued a controversial statement that sparked widespread media attention and a social media storm. In the statement, Qantoush announced his withdrawal from all her legal cases and his resignation from representing her, claiming that her former husband, singer Hossam Habib, had returned to her life.
Hossam Habib, however, completely denied the circulating news about his return to Sherine Abdel-Wahab, stating in a media interview: “There is no comeback… all of this is rumors.” Meanwhile, Sherine Abdel-Wahab responded to her former lawyer’s statement, confirming that Qantoush no longer represents her legally and warning him against speaking on her behalf or making any further statements about her.
In his statement, which caused significant controversy, Qantoush said: “In light of these events and the many falsehoods, and out of concern for the artist from this person who has turned her life into hell since I knew him, she has endured a lot over the years for this kind-hearted woman who is a victim of the difficult circumstances she is going through. Over the years, thank God, many successes have been achieved in all cases, and God willing, she will soon receive significant compensation and regain her YouTube channels.”
He added: “However, during this period, this person appeared again, and I received a call from Sherine Abdel-Wahab, saying word for word: ‘Help me,’ and seeking my support. God knows this happened many times. I often worked late, and my colleagues and I went to the office at dawn to take legal action. After his pleading and her kind heart, she asked me to waive some actions.”
Qantoush: Call from Sherine Abdel-Wahab While She Was in Distress Qantoush explained: “At her request, I waived certain actions. Now, there are several ongoing cases against him, and he is wanted by the prosecution but has not yet appeared for investigations. Yesterday, I received a call from her while she was crying and distressed, and I could hear this person’s voice next to her. Since I was outside Cairo, I tried to call her again, but the phone was off, and my repeated attempts were unsuccessful.”
He continued: “Immediately, I asked three of my lawyer colleagues to go to her house to check on her and instructed them not to leave until I heard her voice. Indeed, they saw the person in her house, and she was in an abnormal state. She even scolded the lawyers who came to ensure her safety.”
Qantoush added: “Given the worsening situation every day and my professional responsibility, God knows I tried many times to get her to travel abroad to distance herself from this person, but each time she promised she would do so.”
Qantoush Appeals to Authorities to Monitor Sherine Abdel-Wahab’s Situation He also called on the relevant authorities, saying: “Although my role is limited to following up on the cases that, thanks to God and great effort, have been successful, as her lawyer I need to inform my client about the progress. Thank God, most cases were successful. Therefore, out of concern for her and her health, I urge the Minister of Culture, as the primary authority responsible for art and culture and the direct supervisor of the Musicians Syndicate, to intervene quickly and request the Ministry of Health to assign a medical committee to monitor her condition and keep her away from those seeking to harm her physically and psychologically, and to protect this artistic gem.”
He concluded: “Finally, I wish the artist success in the days ahead. I have fulfilled my role as her legal advisor. May God grant her success and protection.”
Sherine’s Brother Criticizes Qantoush In response, Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, Sherine’s brother, broke his silence and criticized Qantoush’s statement on his official Facebook page, writing: “I have a question for the lawyer: just last month in court, you said that her brother admitted her to the hospital to control her and seize her property, even though you knew the truth. Now you say the situation is catastrophic and call for the Minister of Culture to intervene… do you believe yourself? God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.”
With Hossam Habib denying the rumors of a return and Sherine Abdel-Wahab issuing her firm response to her former lawyer, the case continues to capture public attention and social media discussions, as audiences await further developments regarding the future of the Egyptian star and her personal life.
