"Your Best Destination!".. Arabic Language and the Coffee Pot Adorn Moscow’s Streets in Welcome to Arab Visitors

The Moscow Department of Transport, in cooperation with RT Arabic, has launched a new media campaign targeting tourists from the Middle East and North Africa under the slogan "Your Best Destination!".
The Russian capital has become a favorite destination for Arab tourists, thanks to its rich history, unparalleled beauty, and distinctive landmarks. For this reason, RT Arabic joined forces with Moscow Transport to launch a welcoming campaign for visitors from Arab countries.
Posters in Arabic now decorate public transport stations in the historic heart of Moscow, featuring elegant calligraphy and symbols that represent both Russian and Arab cultures. Alongside the famous Russian "Matryoshka" doll appears the traditional Arabic coffee pot, symbolizing generosity and hospitality.
The joint project between RT Arabic and Moscow Transport also includes the release of exclusive, creatively designed "Troika" cards—an indispensable ticket for using the city’s public transport system. To make Arab tourists’ visits smoother, the "Your Best Destination!" campaign also introduces them to the city’s main tourist attractions and how to reach them using Moscow’s public transport network—one of the capital’s defining features, recognized as one of the most advanced and modern transport systems in the world.
As part of this initiative, Arabic-speaking tourists can now access all transport-related news in Moscow through a dedicated section on RT Arabic’s website, under the title "Hello, Moscow!". In this context, Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, stated: "Moscow is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world.
Therefore, following the instructions of Moscow’s Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, we are working hard to make travel around the city easier and more comfortable, including for international guests. For the second time, in cooperation with RT Arabic, we have launched a project introducing Arabic-speaking travelers to Moscow’s comfortable and reliable transport system.
" For her part, Maya Manaa, Director of RT Arabic, commented on this important project: "I feel delighted walking through the streets of the capital, hearing tourists speak Arabic, seeing the admiration on their faces for the city’s beauty, and their joy when they see Moscow welcoming them in Arabic letters across the city. Our colleagues at the Department of Transport, like RT Arabic, are working to make Moscow accessible to all tourists from the Middle East and ensure their visit is comfortable and enjoyable.
Here we found an opportunity for cooperation: Moscow’s transport system makes it easy to reach the most beautiful landmarks, while our website provides guidance in Arabic on how to do so." The posters are expected to decorate the streets of Moscow in welcome to Arabic-speaking visitors until October 2025—marking the end of the summer tourist season and coinciding with the "Russia–Arab World" Summit scheduled for October 14–15, 2025.
