Cinematographer Timur Timur Dies Heroically Saving Son from Drowning

The Egyptian cinematography community is in mourning following the tragic passing of rising star Timur Timur, who lost his life while heroically saving his son from drowning during a family vacation at Ras Al-Hikma on the North Coast.

In a heartbreaking moment, Timur rushed into the water to rescue his child, succeeding in pulling him to safety, but tragically did not survive the effort himself. His son was unharmed and is now safe in the care of grateful family members.

Producer Ibrahim Hamouda described the scene as "a cruel, painful and terrifying moment," while the Actors’ Syndicate praised Timur as a young creative force who made a distinguished artistic impact in cinematic and dramatic photography.

Though his life and career were cut short, Timur left behind a budding legacy marked by dedication, talent, and a spirit that resonates with poignancy. Thousands are expected to attend his funeral, paying tribute to a man who gave everything for his child—a final act of love and bravery.
