The Iraqi TikToker known as "Sayed Ali" passed away on Friday, just hours after his last appearance in a video in which he appeared sad and depressed in front of his followers.

Iraqi media outlets and several bloggers and fans reported that he died from a sudden heart attack in Diyala Governorate, where he resided.

The news of Sayed Ali’s death, who was followed by tens of thousands on TikTok, caused widespread shock among his audience in Iraq, especially after seeing his last, sorrowful appearance just hours before his passing.

Several followers responded to the news with messages of apology, expressing regret for any sarcastic comments they had made about him in the past after learning of his death.

Sayed Ali was known for producing comedic and satirical content on TikTok, which sometimes drew harsh criticism. On one occasion, he was summoned by the committee monitoring inappropriate content under the Ministry of Interior, which oversees violations by celebrities.
