A minor fire broke out at the theater of actor Mohamed Sobhi in the city of Senbel on Tuesday, prompting the General Directorate of Civil Protection in Giza Governorate to dispatch fire trucks to control the blaze.

Mohamed Sobhi’s theater is part of a comprehensive cultural project that includes a performance theater, filming studios, a museum, and an arts school. It is currently hosting the actor’s play “Fares Yakshef Al-Mastoor.”

Incident Details

The Giza Security Directorate received a report of a fire inside a building on the "Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road" within the 6th of October City area. Fire trucks were immediately dispatched to the scene.

No Injuries Reported

It was determined that the fire was limited to two rooms attached to the theater. Civil protection forces managed to fully control and extinguish the fire, with no injuries or human losses reported.

Cause of the Fire

Security authorities stated that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in one of the connections in the theater’s transformer room, confirming that the building was empty at the time of the incident. Legal procedures were taken, a report was filed, and the competent prosecution has begun its investigation.
