Social media platforms erupted with widespread outrage following a power outage in the city of Ma'an, caused by a stray bullet hitting an electrical transformer and cutting off electricity to large neighborhoods for more than two hours.

The incident, which nearly turned into a disaster but was fortunately limited to a power outage, coincided with citizens celebrating their high school “Tawjihi” exam results. Gunfire was reportedly fired into the air in celebration, and it is believed that one of these bullets struck the transformer, causing the electricity disruption.

Activists expressed their anger over this reckless behavior and disregard for the safety of others, warning that continued actions like these could lead to a real catastrophe.

Meanwhile, local residents voiced strong frustration over the sudden blackout and its negative impact on their daily lives.
