Ahmed El Sakka fined 200 pounds for assaulting his ex-wife

The Public Prosecution in the Sheikh Zayed area of Cairo, Egypt, has issued a decision to impose a fine of 200 Egyptian pounds on actor Ahmed El Sakka, following an official complaint filed by media personality Maha El Soghayar accusing him of assaulting her inside a residential compound in 6th of October City.
After reviewing the case files, the prosecution considered the incident a “minor misdemeanor” that does not require referring the accused to trial, according to Articles 323 to 330 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Accordingly, the prosecution issued a criminal order to impose the fine without holding a trial session.

The Public Prosecution heard Ahmed El Sakka’s statements regarding the accusations against him, as well as the testimonies of Maha El Soghayar and her personal driver, who both confirmed that she was subjected to verbal and physical assault by the actor in front of eyewitnesses.
Based on the investigation results, the prosecution decided to release Maha El Soghayar and her driver after recording their statements and imposed the fine on Ahmed El Sakka without taking further legal action or referring the case to court.
