“Who? She released an album? Congratulations. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard it.”

“First of all, I want to say she’s someone without strength — meaning she lacks loyalty. And I wish she’d just 'Zip it'.”

She added in a statement to ET bil Arabi:

“And if someone could translate that for her in Arabic, because she won’t understand it in English… And I hope I never find time to hold a non-artistic press conference to talk about Assala. Thank you.”

It's worth noting that tensions between the two stars have existed for years, though the exact reasons remain unclear. Maya Diab had previously commented:

“Assala is a kind person, but sometimes she’s impulsive — both positively and negatively. What happened between us was awkward, and I prefer not to talk about it.”
