Assala dedicates a song to Palestine and promises Jerash audience exciting surprises

Syrian star Assala Nasri is preparing to perform her highly anticipated concert on the Southern Theater stage at the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, marking the grand finale of the festival’s 39th edition. Organizers have announced that tickets for the event are completely sold out, as excitement builds among her Jordanian and Arab fans.
A Political Drama Theme Song in the Works
During a press conference held ahead of her concert, Assala revealed that she is currently preparing to record the theme song for an upcoming political drama series set to air in the near future.
The artist spoke candidly about her limited musical output in the Syrian dialect, attributing it to personal and professional reasons—most notably her long absence from Syria, her busy schedule, and her residence in Egypt, which she described as her “second home.” She explained that her frequent presence there and the abundance of production opportunities tend to steer her musical choices toward other regional dialects.
Assala: I’ll Sing in Multiple Dialects and Dedicate a Song to Palestine
Assala confirmed that her Jerash concert program will feature a blend of Syrian, Lebanese, Egyptian, and Gulf dialects, emphasizing her commitment to performing songs that resonate with the Jordanian audience. She also revealed plans to perform a heartfelt, humanitarian-themed song dedicated to Palestine.
Among the surprises she has in store is a special tribute to the late Fahd Ballan, a close friend of her father and a beloved Syrian artist, with whom she shares cherished childhood memories. She described the performance as an emotional homage to her roots and Syria’s musical heritage.
“Doribet El Bo’d” and Fan Favorites
The concert is expected to include several songs from her latest album, “Doribet El Bo’d” (The Cost of Distance), alongside a selection of her most popular hits, such as "Sabab Farhety", "Fo’", "Ghalban Awi", "Mab’aash Ana", "El Ward El Balady", and "Bint El Akaber", which have all left a lasting mark on her illustrious career.
