The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of San Marino in Jordan Launches an Innovative Cultural Initiative Uniting Jordanian and Sammarinese Cuisine
The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of San Marino in Jordan, under the patronage of Honorary Consul Samer Kawar, has launched a pioneering cultural initiative that brings together Jordanian and Sammarinese cuisine to promote cultural and culinary tourism—a key pillar of global tourism. This collaboration, featuring Chef Saddam Imad and Chef Savio, resulted in the creation and joint presentation of “Ravioli with Jameed,” a unique dish blending the flavors of both nations.
During a reception held for the occasion, Consul Samer Kawar presented a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the San Marino Tourism Board, UNESCO, and the Honorary Consulate. He expressed hope that this initiative will be a concrete step in the ongoing efforts of the Jordanian Ministry of Tourism to build bridges of cultural and tourism cooperation with countries worldwide, especially as culinary tourism has become a fundamental part of the global travel industry. Consul Kawar confirmed: “In today’s world, culinary tourism is one of the main pillars of the travel sector. Highlighting Jordan’s efforts in this field through innovative partnerships like this further strengthens the Kingdom’s position on the international tourism map—as a destination that fuses authenticity with renewal and welcomes visitors from diverse cultures.”
