Postponement of Ragheb Alama’s Concert on the North Coast for Organizational Reasons Ragheb Alama Denies That the Postponement Is Due to His Dispute with the Syndicate

Fans of artist Ragheb Alama were surprised by the announcement of the postponement of his highly anticipated concert at the "Layali Marassi" Festival, held in Marassi village on the North Coast, from August 2 to September 18, at a time when many attributed the delay to the ongoing dispute between him and the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate.

The concert was originally scheduled for early August, but the syndicate had conditioned his performance on attending an investigation one day before the event, which has not happened yet. As a result, the syndicate continues to enforce the ban on the artist performing in Egypt and is postponing his concerts until the issue is resolved.

"Unrelated to the dispute" On the other hand, Ragheb Alama denied that the postponement is related to his dispute with the syndicate, stating in an official statement that the hotel hosting the concert had committed to organizing another event on the same date, and that the postponement was due to this reason, with a promise to hold the concert at a later date.

"For organizational reasons" Meanwhile, the concert’s organizing team, in coordination with the hotel management, issued a statement clarifying that the date change was purely for organizational reasons. They emphasized their commitment to providing an exceptional artistic experience worthy of the festival’s audience and thanked the public for their understanding.

It is worth noting that the dispute began after Ragheb Alama’s concert at the North Coast in mid-July, where the actions of some female fans on stage caused discontent within the Musicians Syndicate. The syndicate considered these actions to violate Egyptian customs and traditions, leading to the suspension of the artist’s performance license and summoning him for an investigation.
