Ali Ramadan, son of Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakherji and actor Wael Ramadan, expressed deep frustration over the wave of threats and insults he receives daily on social media, despite his young age and his distance from any controversial issues.

In a message shared on his social media accounts, Ali said: "Okay, insult whoever you want—fine. But seriously, people who are 30 or 40 years old coming after a 16-year-old to insult and threaten and mock him? What do you even gain from this behavior?"

"I have nothing to do with it."

He added, visibly distressed: "I understand the anger and frustration some people might feel inside, but that doesn’t mean it should turn into hatred toward someone you don’t even know and who has nothing to do with anything."

He continued: "I literally have no fault in anything. I’m just living my life. Don’t you have anything better to do than come after a 16-year-old to insult and threaten him? What kind of sickness is this?"

He concluded his message by saying: "I know I probably shouldn’t be speaking out, but honestly, I’m exhausted from the nonstop insults and threats every day. Thank you for your understanding, and I truly wish you a good evening."
