The renowned Egyptian artist Lotfy Labib passed away at the age of 77 after a long battle with illness.

Ashraf Zaki called on all of the artist’s fans to pray for him, amid intense attention from the artistic community and the public who closely followed his health developments with deep concern.

In an official statement, the Actors’ Syndicate expressed their wishes for a speedy recovery for the artist, saying: “Dr. Ashraf Zaki, head of the Actors’ Syndicate, and the members of the board wish a swift recovery for the great artist Lotfy Labib, whose health deteriorated and who entered intensive care during the past hours.”

Earlier, a close source reported that Lotfy Labib’s health began to decline over the past weeks, which required his admission to the hospital to receive necessary medical care, emphasizing the need for continuous monitoring of his condition and urging the public to pray for his recovery.

Lotfy Labib had left the hospital on July 17 after a slight improvement in his condition, when doctors assured that his health was stable and allowed him to leave with recommendations for a period of rest at home.
