Egyptian media sources have revealed that Egyptian actor Lotfy Labib was once again transferred to the intensive care unit after suffering from throat bleeding due to a severe case of pneumonia. This led to a significant deterioration in his health, with reports suggesting he fell into a temporary coma—sparking concern among his family and fans.

Dr. Ashraf Zaki, head of the Egyptian Actors Syndicate, stated that the actor is going through a critical health crisis, describing his condition as “very serious.” He noted that Labib is under close medical supervision and urged the public to pray for him during this difficult time.

According to sources close to the family, the actor had been hospitalized several days ago following severe coughing fits, believed to be linked to a previous throat tumor. Doctors have since prohibited him from speaking to avoid further complications. Despite the severity of the situation, the medical team remains hopeful for gradual improvement in the coming days.

Commenting on the latest developments, Father Boutros Daniel, head of the Egyptian Catholic Center for Cinema, said that visits have been restricted to preserve the actor’s stability. He confirmed that Labib is still conscious and has asked his fans to keep praying for him, adding, “Lotfy Labib has always reciprocated his audience’s love, and he deserves their support now more than ever.”

For his part, the actor’s manager, Mohamed El-Deeb, confirmed that Labib recently underwent a series of detailed medical tests but is currently unable to communicate due to his deteriorating condition. He emphasized that the family is closely monitoring his status.

Last Public Appearance

A few days ago, the Catholic Center published photos documenting the actor’s last public appearance following a temporary discharge from the hospital. He was welcomed at his home by Father Boutros Daniel and actor Hamza El-Aili. Despite visible fatigue, Labib appeared smiling, expressing his gratitude to his fans for their heartfelt support and ongoing prayers.

His family later confirmed that they prefer to remain silent about his medical details out of respect for his privacy until his condition stabilizes.
