In his first comment following his separation from his wife, singer Amira Farraj, a few days ago, artist Ahmed Fahmy, a member of the band "WAMA," shared a personal and spiritual message via Instagram Stories.

Fahmy wrote: “Praise be to You for what I am and what I will become... Praise be to You until You are pleased and You please me.”

Amira Farraj had earlier confirmed the separation from her husband, Egyptian singer Ahmed Fahmy, stating that the relationship ended with full respect and calm, after more than 24 years of marriage built on mutual kindness.

A Love Story

Amira met Ahmed Fahmy when she was just 17 years old during a concert at the Cairo Opera House, sparking a love story and marriage that followed a four-year engagement.

Amira’s Artistic Beginnings

Amira began her artistic journey in a children's choir and participated in opera festivals. Although she graduated from the Faculty of Arts with a degree in Media, she chose singing over a media career.

Ahmed Fahmy proposed to her when he was 19 years old. During their marriage, they had two sons, Omar and Hassan. Amira stepped away from singing for a while to raise her children, later returning to the spotlight as a television reporter before announcing their separation.

Fahmy on the Benefits of Early Marriage

In previous statements, Ahmed Fahmy emphasized the benefits of marrying young, saying: "Marriage at a young age is good because it helps you avoid mistakes. I don’t like to expose my personal life on social media. And if my son wanted to marry early, I’d tell him to wait a bit — there must be privacy between spouses."

In an earlier interview, Fahmy described Amira as a smart woman and added: "When we argue, it's always a discussion. The discussion might get intense, but it never crosses certain boundaries. I'm hot-tempered and she's stubborn — we both don’t like confrontation. I thank her for putting up with me."
