A source familiar with the case reported that the Amman Public Prosecutor decided on Saturday to release social media activist Ayman Abli on bail, after his detention last Thursday pending investigation.

The prosecution had charged Abli with "publishing content that could undermine social peace," in connection with a case handled by the Cybercrime Unit.

The source added that the case file has been referred to the Amman Magistrate Criminal Court, which is scheduled to hear the case later to complete the necessary legal procedures.
