Hesham Gamal reveals.. This song was born the day Laila entered my life

Egyptian artist Hesham Gamal shared behind-the-scenes details of his song "Ana Wel Amar" (Me and the Moon) with his followers on Instagram. The track marked a special turning point in his career, as it was released during his engagement to actress Laila Ahmed Zaher, who is now his wife.
Expressing his emotions, Hesham wrote:
“‘Ana Wel Amar’ is a very special song for me because it was the first melody I composed after Laila officially became a part of my life. When I played it for her, she honestly told me: ‘This is the best song you’ve ever made.’ I hope you all like it too, and that we can create even better songs soon.”
He also thanked everyone who supported the project, saying:
“Thank you to the great artist Hussain Al Jassmi for his enthusiasm and continuous support, which was essential in bringing the song to life in the best way. I also thank poet Ameer Teima and music arranger Mady—I'm proud to have worked with them.”
Laila Zaher: "So proud of you"
For her part, Laila Ahmed Zaher showed strong support for her husband by sharing a clip from the music video "Mestannak", a collaboration between Hesham Gamal and Emirati star Hussain Al Jassmi, and captioned it:
“So proud of you, my love.”
A special bond with Al Jassmi’s voice
In a previous post, Hesham Gamal spoke of his deep admiration for Al Jassmi’s voice:
“I first heard him when I was 14, and I’ve never been able to forget that voice… it’s truly one of a kind, and still my favorite to this day.”
He added that although he had worked with Al Jassmi on several projects over the years, this latest collaboration was the largest to date and part of a broader artistic vision led by the Emirati star himself.
Laila Ahmed Zaher’s ongoing career
On the acting front, Laila Ahmed Zaher continues to stay active. She recently began filming "Hind", one of seven stories that make up the series "What You See Is Not What It Seems", co-starring actor Hazem Ehab. The series is scheduled to air in August on United Media Services’ TV channels and platforms.
