Syrian artist Nassif Zeytoun expressed his immense joy at participating in the 2025 Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, describing it as a pivotal moment in his artistic journey and a long-awaited dream come true.

Speaking during a press conference held in Amman, Nassif shared that he had always dreamed of performing on the Southern Theater stage, calling his participation in the festival a great honor — even stating he had anticipated it more than the Jordanian audience themselves.

He also expressed full readiness to collaborate with fellow Syrian artist Al Shami, praising his talent and affirming that he is one of the names he is proud of. Nassif added that he sees no objection to working together on a joint project in the near future.

Upcoming Projects

As for what's next, Nassif revealed that he is currently working on several diverse projects, including a Moroccan dialect duet with an undisclosed Arab artist, a new song in the Gulf dialect, and four songs in Egyptian Arabic. He noted that this variety in dialects and musical styles allows him to express himself more freely and connect with a broader audience.

During his remarks, Nassif emphasized that art can unite people in ways politics cannot, laughing as he noted that “politics isn’t my field — art is the language that speaks directly to the heart, regardless of circumstances or backgrounds.”

Potential Collaboration with Jordanian Artists

He also spoke admiringly of Jordanian musicians, expressing his love for the work of Omar Al-Abdallat and Diana Karazon. Nassif mentioned that he had always hoped to sing alongside retired artist Adham Nabulsi and shared his desire to collaborate with a Jordanian artist in the future.

Nassif also mentioned his recent visit to Aqaba and how much he enjoyed the experience, adding that he hopes to explore Petra and Wadi Rum during his current stay in Jordan.

Emotional Message to Fans

Concluding the conference, Nassif delivered a heartfelt message of pride and patriotism, affirming that his homeland always comes first and that he is proud to be a Syrian artist carrying both a musical and human message. Deeply moved by the hardships faced by many in the region, he asked with emotion: “Why do we live like this? We’re great and ambitious people… but why do tragedies keep repeating?”

He wrapped up with a touching message to his Jordanian and Arab fans: "God willing, when people talk about Jerash years from now, they'll say: There was once a concert by Nassif Zeytoun."
