The prosecution confirmed the accuracy of Bossi Shalaby’s national ID data, clearing the presenter of any legal suspicion in the case.

The Egyptian Public Prosecution decided on Thursday to dismiss the complaint filed by the family of the late actor Mahmoud Abdel Aziz against TV presenter Bossi Shalaby, in which she was accused of forging her national ID card.

The prosecution's decision came after verifying the accuracy of Shalaby’s ID information and confirming the legality of her position, thereby clearing her of any legal suspicion in the case.

A Longstanding Dispute

The roots of the conflict go back to a prolonged dispute between the two parties, which began in February when Bossi Shalaby issued a press statement denying rumors about her divorce from the late actor. She asserted that he remained her husband until his death and that their relationship was above suspicion.

In response, the actor’s heirs released a statement in May to counter what they described as "misleading information." They claimed that Abdel Aziz had divorced Shalaby only a month and a half after their marriage in 1998, citing official documents and court rulings that dismissed all related lawsuits and complaints.

"A Legitimate Marriage"

Bossi Shalaby countered with another statement, accompanied by an Umrah visa, asserting that her marriage to the late actor was legitimate and well-known to his heirs, relatives, and friends. She also pointed out that his final national ID card listed her as his wife.
