" Samawi: "An exceptional edition of the Jerash Festival 2025

The festival’s executive director, Ayman Samawi, told the program “Helwa Ya Dunia,” which airs every Friday on Roya TV, that this edition will be exceptional due to its comprehensive media coverage and events spanning various Jordanian cities, reflecting an expansion in the festival’s scope and a strengthening of its cultural stature.
Samawi highlighted collaborations with important national institutions such as the Jordanian Writers Association, the Jordanian Plastic Artists Association, the Writers’ Union, and the Philosophical Society, aiming to deliver cultural and artistic content aligned with audience aspirations.
Events Across Eight Governorates The festival will host events in eight governorates in addition to Jerash, Amman, and Aqaba, featuring approximately 150 Jordanian singers, 534 musicians, and 350 theatre performers, alongside participation from 34 countries. This broad engagement reinforces the festival’s standing as a global cultural and artistic platform worthy of attention and enjoyment.
This year’s festival also shines a spotlight on Jordanian handicrafts and the art of women empowerment, with participation from artistic teams representing around ten Jordanian universities, underscoring the vital role of youth in enriching the cultural scene.
Samawi affirmed that the festival aims for continuous renewal and development, moving beyond traditional frameworks to offer a comprehensive artistic experience that embodies Jordanian cultural pride and national unity.
Prominent Stars Illuminate the Festival Among the prominent stars performing this year are Nassif Zeytoun, Mohamed Hamaki, Asala Nasri, Ahlam, Melhem Zein, Joseph Attieh, and Noor Mahana, alongside notable Jordanian artists such as Nidaa Sharara, Diana Karazon, and Issa Al Saqar.
