Impersonation of a Retired Actress: Taysir Fahmy Transfers 2,000 EGP

Retired actress Shadia Abdel Hamid revealed that she was at the center of a bizarre fraud case, after a woman impersonated her and used the false identity to scam several artists—including actress Taysir Fahmy and actor Ahmed El Sakka—by requesting financial aid.
The incident began when Ahmed El Sakka received a suspicious request for money from the impersonator, prompting him to contact the head of the Actors Syndicate, Dr. Ashraf Zaki. Zaki confirmed that the woman was not affiliated with the real Shadia Abdel Hamid and was impersonating her. It was later revealed that Taysir Fahmy had already fallen victim to the scam and transferred 2,000 EGP.
A Pattern of Artist Impersonation
This case is not the first of its kind. Several other celebrities, including Yasser Galal and Ahmed Bedeir, had previously been targeted by scammers impersonating well-known actors in attempts to solicit money. Legal action was taken against the individual responsible, and Dr. Zaki issued a general warning to artists to remain cautious and avoid falling prey to such deceptive tactics.
