Abbas Al-Nouri in “Asser” – the Arabic remake of a Turkish drama
On the professional front, Abbas Al-Nouri is venturing into a new experience in the world of adapted drama formats, through his role in the series “Asser”, based on the hit Turkish show “Ezel”. This marks his first appearance in this type of drama.
In previous media statements, Al-Nouri explained that he intentionally avoided watching the original version of the show in order to deliver an independent performance, free from the influence of the Turkish portrayal. He added that filming entirely in Turkey posed a significant challenge but noted that the production team welcomed his acting input, giving him a sense of trust, comfort, and responsibility.
Al-Nouri emphasized the importance of adapting content in a way that aligns with Arab cultural identity, highlighting that the aim of the remake is to bring the story closer to the Arab audience without inviting direct comparisons with the original.
