Sandy sparks controversy over her role in “Tag” alongside Tamer Hosny

Egyptian singer and actress Sandy surprised fans and sparked widespread reaction on social media following a press interview in which she spoke openly about her recent appearance in the film “Tag” alongside star Tamer Hosny. She stated that the experience brought her no artistic benefit and did not contribute to her career in any meaningful way.
Sandy explained that the film did not open up new opportunities or lead to further offers, describing its artistic impact as limited.
In contrast, she recalled her role in the film “Khittet Jimmy” (Jimmy’s Plan), which she described as a turning point in her career and a key project that helped spread her name widely among audiences.
She said: “Even though years have passed since 'Khittet Jimmy' was released, people still ask me about it and express how much they love it — unlike 'Tag', which didn’t change anything in my artistic journey.”
