In its first official visit... The Journalists Syndicate visits "Ro’ya Media Group" and underscores the importance of supporting independent, professional journalism

The Jordanian Journalists Syndicate conducted its first official visit on Monday to Ro’ya Media Group, reflecting the syndicate’s direction to strengthen communication with national media institutions and to gain firsthand insight into the working environment within the private media sector.
The delegation was headed by the Syndicate’s President, colleague Tareq Al-Momani, and included Vice President colleague Awni Al-Daoud, Treasurer colleague Mohammad Al-Zyoud, Syndicate spokesperson colleague Rashid Al-Assaf, and Syndicate Council member colleague Khetam Al-Shoubaki.
They were received by Ro’ya Media Group CEO Engineer Fares Al-Sayegh, Ro’ya TV Director Mr. Uday Hayari, along with several department heads and media and technical staff within the group.
During the meeting, Al-Momani emphasized the importance of this visit as a reflection of the syndicate’s openness toward influential media institutions in the Jordanian media landscape. He praised Ro’ya’s role in providing professional and responsible media that expresses the pulse of Jordanian society and objectively and accurately covers local and Arab issues.
He also pointed out that the syndicate aims in the coming period to review and amend the membership law, a task currently being worked on by the Membership Committee, to keep pace with the changes occurring in the media sector and to ensure a more inclusive and fair environment for media workers.
For his part, Engineer Fares Al-Sayegh welcomed the syndicate delegation, expressing pride in this historic visit. He stressed the importance of a complementary relationship between the syndicate and media institutions, the necessity of establishing a culture of professional dialogue, and the need to provide a work environment that preserves the dignity of journalists and encourages creativity.
Al-Sayegh noted that Ro’ya Media Group operates according to a strategic vision based on regional geographic expansion, having opened representative offices in Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. This enhances the presence of Jordanian media in the region and enables direct field coverage that reflects the pulse of the Arab street.
He also emphasized that Ro’ya’s news department pays special attention to Palestinian issues, given their significance to Jordanians’ collective consciousness. He mentioned that news related to Palestine is written and published across the group’s platforms in three languages: Arabic, English, and Hebrew, aiming to convey the true narrative to a wide and diverse audience.
At the end of the visit, the syndicate delegation toured the channel’s studios, newsrooms, and production facilities, reviewing the working mechanisms and technologies in use. They praised the professionalism and development Ro’ya has achieved and confirmed the importance of ongoing communication between the syndicate and media institutions to advance the journalistic work environment in Jordan.
