Egyptian actor and singer Tamer Hosny has filed an official complaint with the Public Prosecution in Sheikh Zayed City against a TikTok user, following the publication of a video he considered offensive to him and his latest film "Restart". The video reportedly included language that Hosny deemed inappropriate and outside the bounds of respectful criticism.

According to the complaint, Tamer Hosny’s lawyer appeared at the Sheikh Zayed Police Station on his behalf and stated that his client had been harmed by a TikTok account, which posted several videos containing harsh and offensive criticism. In the videos, the content creator accused the artist of presenting “shallow content,” in a direct reference to the currently screening film Restart.

The lawyer submitted several recorded videos as supporting evidence for the complaint, also noting that the account in question was deleted after the video began circulating widely.

Following the submission of the complaint, the Public Prosecution launched an investigation and ordered the relevant security authorities to conduct inquiries to determine the circumstances of the case and identify the suspect accurately. An official report was filed, and the prosecution is now overseeing the ongoing investigation.
