Shaaban Saeed: "False news with no connection to reality" Shaaban Saeed: "Removing any member or imposing penalties requires prior legal investigations"

High Court lawyer and legal advisor to the Egyptian Actors' Syndicate, Shaaban Saeed, denied the accuracy of circulating reports claiming that Tunisian actress Hend Sabry had been removed from the syndicate, stressing that the news is completely false.

In an official statement, Saeed said:"In recent hours, news has been circulating claiming that the syndicate has removed Hend Sabry, but this information is false and has no basis in reality."

He explained that the syndicate operates under the provisions of Law No. 35 of 1978 regulating the Actors’ Syndicate, and that removing any member or imposing penalties must be preceded by formal legal investigations. Such actions are only taken if there is a violation that warrants it or if a member loses one of the eligibility conditions stated in the law.

"An active member"

Saeed added that Hend Sabry is still an active member of the syndicate, urging those spreading such rumors to verify their information and refer to official sources before publishing any claims.

He also denied the reports claiming that Sabry’s Egyptian citizenship had been revoked — a narrative that had surfaced due to her public support for the “Convoy of Steadfastness.” He confirmed that the actress still holds her Egyptian nationality and that no official statements or actions have been made suggesting otherwise.
