After a period of speculation and debate on social media, Saudi social media influencer Najla Al-Wadani broke her silence to confirm her separation from her husband, Abdulrahman Al-Dakheel, nearly two and a half years after their marriage.

Najla announced the news of the divorce by responding to a follower’s question on her official Snapchat account, where she wrote: “The news is true. It hasn’t been too long or too short,” indicating that the separation happened recently, but she chose not to announce it at the time.

“I Wanted to Experience This Phase in Silence”

Najla added in her message that she chose not to disclose the news immediately because she was going through a sensitive period and needed time and space to process it in her own way, away from external pressure. She said: “I didn’t want to say anything because I wanted to go through this phase alone and process part of it in a healthy way away from social media.”

Refusal to Reveal the Real Reason Behind the Divorce

In response to rumors spreading on social media regarding the cause of the separation, Najla denied all claims, affirming that the real reason will remain undisclosed. She firmly wrote: “I just want to say everything that was said is completely untrue, because the reason for the divorce will never be known — not even to the blue genie,” stressing her complete refusal to share any details about the decision.

Protecting Her Family from Public Pressure

Najla also explained that she wanted to shield her family from the stress and constant inquiries caused by public curiosity. She said: “This phase is very difficult and I need more time. I also wanted to keep my family away from the pressure of people calling and asking and overanalyzing. I didn’t want that for them — and I still don’t. I won’t allow anyone to interfere in this matter, not with my parents, nor my siblings.”

Praise for Her Ex-Husband: “A Noble Man and a Great Father”

Despite the separation, Najla expressed deep respect for her former husband, Abdulrahman, praising his character by saying: “He is a noble man and a wonderful father. I’m grateful for the two and a half years we spent together — I learned more during that time than ever before. God blessed me with two amazing daughters with him. May God compensate both of us and bless him with what he loves. His memory remains kind.”

For her part, Najla’s sister and fellow influencer Sarah Al-Wadani expressed full support during this difficult phase. She reshared Najla’s message on Snapchat and added heartfelt words: “I entrust your heart, emotions, soul, and children to God.
