Members of the Parliamentary Committee on National Guidance and Media met with the management of Roya Media Group, led by Engineer Fares Sayegh, alongside Roya TV Director Uday Al-Hayari.

As part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the legislative authority and national media outlets, the Parliamentary Committee on National Guidance and Media paid an official visit to Roya TV headquarters in the capital, Amman, on Monday. The purpose of the visit was to learn more about the group’s media experience and its role in supporting national causes and keeping pace with the rapidly evolving media landscape.

The delegation was headed by Committee Chairman MP Firas Al-Qublan, and included Committee Rapporteur MP Nour Abu Ghosh, MP Dr. Mohammad Al-Sabayleh, MP Dr. Jihad Abuwi, and MP Mohammad Al-Roud. They were received by CEO of Roya Media Group, Engineer Fares Sayegh, along with a number of directors, editorial staff, and technical teams.

During the meeting, MP Firas Al-Qublan highlighted the significant role played by "Roya" in shaping the Jordanian media scene, describing it as one of the leading private media institutions in the country. He commended Roya’s ability to professionally and objectively cover national issues and deliver an accurate portrayal to both local and international public opinion.

Al-Qublan emphasized that media today forms a fundamental pillar in supporting state institutions and countering rumors and misinformation. He praised Roya's ability to produce content that balances speed with accuracy and aligns with the demands of the digital era.

He also underscored the importance of unifying national media discourse, especially in light of the pressures Jordan faces due to its principled stances and strategic regional position.

For his part, Engineer Fares Sayegh expressed his appreciation for the committee’s visit and its commitment to direct engagement with media institutions. He reaffirmed Roya Media Group's dedication to its core values of professionalism, neutrality, and responsiveness to the concerns and daily lives of the public. He also stressed the group’s support for Jordan’s political, economic, and administrative modernization tracks.

Sayegh noted that Roya is implementing a well-studied geographical expansion strategy, marked by the establishment of regional offices and platforms in several Arab countries, including Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. This reflects Roya’s vision of strengthening the presence of Jordanian media on the regional stage and enabling the group to provide on-the-ground coverage that supports national media messaging and serves shared Arab interests.

Sayegh further emphasized the importance of enhancing partnerships between the media and constitutional authorities and aligning media messaging in service of national interests. He pointed out that Roya continues to upgrade its infrastructure and develop its media tools to keep up with digital transformations and provide a modern media environment capable of competing locally and across the Arab world.
