In a step born out of grief and mourning, Tunisian singer Latifa announced the postponement of the release of her new album, which was scheduled to launch next Thursday, following the sudden passing of her older brother, Nour El-Din, due to a heart attack.

Latifa was in the studio putting the final touches on her album when she was struck by the tragic news, plunging her into a deep state of shock—especially since the loss brought back painful memories of her mother’s passing, a grief she has not yet overcome.

She mourned her brother in heartfelt words shared on her official Instagram account, writing:"My brother is in God’s care... May God have mercy on you, my dear brother. You were just talking to me yesterday, Nour El-Din. May God grant us patience for your loss, you kind soul, an angel in the form of a human. May God forgive you and grant you paradise, my love."

It’s worth noting that Nour El-Din was among the closest family members to Latifa and a great source of support throughout her career, which deepened the emotional impact of his loss on the Tunisian star.

Latifa’s Latest Artistic WorkLatifa had recently completed recording a new album in preparation for its release in the summer of 2025. She even invited her fans to participate in a poll on social media to choose the album’s title from five suggested tracks—an interactive move that received wide engagement from her followers.
