Many followers interacted with the post, urging the festival management to host artists fitting the festival’s rich history since its inception in 1981.
Earlier this year, the Executive Director of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, Ayman Samawi, revealed a preliminary list of stars nominated to participate in the upcoming edition, which runs until August 2.
Samawi explained that the list includes a selection of prominent Arab singing stars, including Asala Nasri, Ahlam, Majid Al Mohandis, and Amal Maher.
Great diversity in the upcoming edition
He pointed out that the next edition will witness a great diversity of artistic and cultural events, with more than 250 expected activities, including musical, theatrical, and poetic performances, alongside contributions from independent art groups and young singers.
Samawi confirmed that the festival will expand this year to include events in several Jordanian governorates, aiming to strengthen cultural and artistic presence across the Kingdom.
On the cultural front, he emphasized that the festival’s administration will pay special attention to the cultural program, focusing on enhancing its local role and promoting it internationally, reflecting Jerash Festival’s identity as a platform celebrating Arab and global creativity.
It is worth noting that the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts is an annual cultural and artistic event held in the ancient city of Jerash in northern Jordan since its founding in 1981. The festival is renowned for presenting local and international folkloric dance performances, ballet shows, musical evenings, theater plays, opera performances, as well as concerts featuring top Arab and international singers.
