Egyptian actor Ahmed El Sakka captured the attention of fans during his first public appearance following the announcement of his divorce from TV presenter Maha El Sagheer, after 26 years of marriage.

The appearance took place at actress Asmaa Galal’s birthday celebration, held on Thursday evening and attended by a number of prominent figures from the entertainment industry.

El Sakka drew notice for his noticeably slimmer physique, which sparked curiosity among fans and social media users, especially since it marked his first public event since the official separation.

Director Ahmed Abdel Wahab shared photos from the event on his Instagram account, in which El Sakka appeared alongside fellow celebrities—images that fueled further speculation about his emotional and physical state.

In a related development, media personality Basma Wahba revealed details of a phone call she had with El Sakka, in which he denied rumors of financial negligence toward his ex-wife and children. El Sakka stated that he had spent nearly £150,000 over the past year on medical treatment trips to London, surgeries for Maha El Sagheer, and his children’s education expenses.

Wahba added that El Sakka provided her with official receipts and documents to support his claims, which she personally reviewed. She praised his generosity and integrity, describing him as noble in his conduct.

El Sakka also shared a story about purchasing a diamond necklace from jeweler Essam El Mawardy as a gift for Maha. When the piece was no longer available, he requested it be specially reproduced at double the price.
