Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra’s Son Reveals Details of Egyptian President’s Call to His Father

Musician Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra shared on his official Facebook page the details of a phone call his father, the esteemed actor Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra, received from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to inquire about his health. In his post, the musician expressed his deep gratitude to the president for his ongoing care and constant attention to his father, emphasizing that the call gave his father a significant morale boost and the feeling that he remains in the leader’s thoughts despite all the heavy responsibilities he bears.
In a related matter, Ahmed Abdel Rahman previously explained that the National Social Insurance and Civil Status Authority had mistakenly declared his father deceased, which led to the suspension of his pension and caused distress within the family. He described this error as the result of an old technical glitch linked to outdated laws and a lack of modern technology. He also mentioned that the family had grown accustomed to recurring rumors about his father’s death, despite him being alive and well.
Following this incident, the National Social Insurance Authority issued an official apology to actor Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra for the unintended mistake. The authority confirmed in a statement that the technical issue was promptly resolved by the specialized teams, and the pension payments were resumed as usual.
