Egyptian actor Adel Imam celebrated his 85th birthday on Saturday in a private family gathering at his home, attended by his children and a small number of close friends from the artistic community.

Notably, the "Leader" insisted on a strict no-photography rule during the celebration inside his residence, in order to maintain privacy and a peaceful atmosphere, according to an Egyptian newspaper citing a source close to the family.

Several close celebrities make it a point to join Adel Imam in celebrating his birthday each year, including actress Lebleba, who shared a long-standing artistic collaboration with him across numerous successful projects, as well as actor Khaled Sarhan, who has been regularly present with the Imam family during the annual occasion.

Artistically, Adel Imam's last on-screen appearance was in the 2020 Ramadan drama series Valentino, which achieved great success. The series was written by Ayman Bahgat Qamar and directed by Rami Imam, featuring a prominent cast including Dalia El Behairy, Dalal Abdel Aziz, Wafaa Sadek, and Huda El Mufti.

Earlier, producer Essam Imam, the elder actor’s brother, reassured the audience about the veteran actor’s health, confirming that the “Leader” is in good health and has not been hospitalized as rumored.He explained that Adel Imam is living a stable life surrounded by his family and grandchildren, putting an end to the speculation about his health.
